Privacy policy

Your work stays yours.

Ruby on Cue is designed to perform its core functions on your device without requiring an account, advertising profile, or developer-operated cloud storage.

Effective: November 2, 2026

Summary

Ruby on Cue does not require an account. The app does not sell personal information, display advertising, or transmit your scripts and recordings to the developer. Scripts, settings, and recorded takes are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export a take to Photos or otherwise share it using Apple-provided controls.

Information handled by the app

Scripts and imported files

Text you paste and text-based PDF files you import are processed and stored locally for use within the app.

Camera and microphone

Ruby on Cue uses the camera and microphone to create recordings at your direction. Recordings are stored locally within the app until you delete or export them.

Speech recognition

Voice Follow uses supported on-device speech recognition to follow your spoken performance. Ruby on Cue is designed to require on-device recognition for this feature and to use Automatic prompting when supported on-device recognition is unavailable.

Photos

Ruby on Cue requests Photos access only when needed to export a take at your direction. The app does not scan or create a database of your photo library.

Settings and diagnostics

The app stores preferences such as prompting settings locally. Apple may provide developers with aggregated or diagnostic information according to your device’s Analytics & Improvements choices and Apple’s applicable policies.

Information we collect

The Ruby on Cue app does not directly collect personal information or operate a developer-controlled analytics, advertising, or user-account service.

If you voluntarily contact support@rubyoncue.com, we receive the information you include in that message, such as your email address, device details, and description of the issue. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, improve the app, and maintain an appropriate support record. Do not send scripts, recordings, or other sensitive material unless it is necessary and you intentionally choose to do so.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information voluntarily submitted for support may be processed by the service providers used to operate email and website hosting, subject to their security and privacy practices. We may also preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or address misuse.

Retention and deletion

You control locally stored scripts and takes through the app. Deleting individual items or deleting the app removes data according to iOS behavior, although exported copies remain wherever you placed them. Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, document recurring problems, and meet legitimate operational or legal needs. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing us.

Children

Ruby on Cue is a general-purpose creative tool and is not directed toward collecting information from children. The app does not require users to submit personal information to us.

Security

No system can guarantee absolute security. Ruby on Cue minimizes exposure by keeping its core content local and avoiding developer-operated accounts and content storage. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and retaining exported backups of recordings you need to keep.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ruby on Cue changes. The current version will remain available at this address with a revised effective date.
